Evolution requires the ability to change, adapt, and create a better ?self? on all levels, resulting in more harmony in our lives and the clarity to express ourselves more creatively.
Chakras are the energy centers in the body which represent different aspects of the personality, including physical, vital, mental, and spiritual. When we understand and gain an experience of the chakras, we are then able to purify, strengthen, and balance these dimensions, gaining greater knowledge of ourselves.
This Retreat will provide you the opportunity to more fully appreciate the depth of SATYANANDA YOGA® and will include lectures, practices (asana, pranayama, Satyananda Yoga Nidra®, meditation), and kirtan.
Leave your daily life behind and join other like-minded people on retreat in the beautiful Rocky Mountain venue of YMCA Estes Park, Colorado. Beginning Friday, September 2 at 5:00 pm and closing Sunday, September 4 at 3:00 pm.
Be a part of the Satyananda Yoga Community!
Swami Satyadharma is a highly experienced practitioner and teacher of the classical yogic sciences within SATYANANDA YOGA®. She has spent many years under the direct tutelage of Paramahamsa Satyananda and his spiritual successor Swami Niranjanananda. During this time she has played a key role in the development of Bihar School of Yoga founded by Swami Satyananda, as well as the Bihar Yoga Bharati, the world’s first Yogic University.
In 2001, Swami Satyadharma moved on from her role as head of Department of Undergraduate Studies and now spends part of each year touring overseas delivering workshops and seminars. She has been chosen by Swami Niranjanananda as an official ambassador to formally represent Satyananda Yoga internationally. She has had decades of experience teaching in different cultures to all sections of society and is considered to be a world class exponent of the Satyananda Yoga system. Swami Satyadharma also plays an integral part in the development of further studies in yoga in accordance with the standards set by Bihar Yoga Bharati and has spent time in both Greece and Australia helping with the development of the Yogic Studies courses.
The breadth and depth of Swami Satyadharma’s experience and detailed knowledge of the subtle aspects of yoga, particularly of meditation and allied yogic philosophies, is a great and rare gift. She shares this knowledge eloquently and with great conviction, giving the student of yoga a deeper and richer experience of what yoga is. Her warmth and accessibility are valued by all who come in contact with her.

Reminders and clarifications about accommodations and room-sharing:
To summarize methods of booking rooms:

Please try really hard to use this link. You can call Caitlin, NAG's Administrative Assistant, for assistance at (216) 371-9760. b. Say that you are part of the
North American Gurukul Group Reservation #233059 This is vital. Do not say the “yoga group.”
c. Do not ask for “sharing” as they interpret this as the YMCA arranging people for the sharing arrangements. You have to find your own roommates! Contact us in you want to be added to the room-share list and receive information on other folks looking for roommates.
d. Book the room under one name with one credit card and tell them the names of the people who will be in your room. Cabins are not part of our group reservation.
3. At check-out each person can pay for their portion of the bill separately including varying rates that might exist depending on number of nights the room was shared by different people. This is true whether the reservation was booked online or through central reservations.
4. If you have any questions about any of this, please contact Caitlin or Swami Atmarupa for clarification, either by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (216) 371-9760.
